Should students have snack time?

Yes!

Snack time should be included in schools. There are a couple of benefits.

Snack time is the best way to let them release their hunger, therefore, they can finish their homework without being hungry. Students need breaks, which is essential to move around with more energy, so eating snacks helps. 

Snack time is a suitable time for connecting with friends. It is like a dinner party with food, where you get to make friends, have fun, and relax when you are stressed.

At snack time, students can practice their social skills when they grow up. Social study is a considerable part of our lives, and socials studies only in the classroom are not enough.

In conclusion, it is healthy to consider giving students a snack break, either at home or school, and interact with other students different from their age.

As I know in China, there is no snack time, but I think they have their reasons. 

First, if students eat their breakfast properly and with nutrition, they should not have to eat a snack. 

Next, we do not want to have snack time because of Covid, when you drink or eat, your mask is off, so Covid-19 can spread. It is even worse if students trade snacks!

Having snacks is a distraction. They can waste time in school where they should be doing homework instead by asking, "When is snack time? I have waited for ten minutes!" or "How long until snack. I'm hungry." These questions can distract the kids.

Lastly, snack time can make the students fat and unhealthy. Students can sneak to school unhealthy snacks like candy, chips, and Coca-Cola during snack time. Instead, the best way to let students relax is to let them have recess without a snack.

To conclude, I think students should not have snack time.
