Sledding at South Lake Tahoe (Christmas break/special)

Yesterday, we planned to go to Heavenly Valley to sled. Unfortunately, the snow was too thick for us to go sledding there, so we decided to go to a place where there was a tiny hill for sledding.

When I got to the sledding hill, I realized that the snow was quite soft. But as I walked in the snow, I started to fall in the snow! Deep footprints sunk in the dense snow. I followed my mom's tracks, and I finally made it to the other side of freshly fallen snow.

I dragged my sled up the hill onto the lower side. Suddenly, my dad appeared in the back of me. I was a little frightened by him, but I wanted to sled this instant, so I quickly sat in the neon blue and yellow sled. With my hands tightening the rope attached to my sled, my dad pushed me off the hill, and I slid down. At first, I was scared. But then, as if I were flying, I felt delighted.

After the first slide, I wanted more. But this time, I tried to go down the slightly higher mountain of snow. I slid down with maximum speed and landed with a crash. But I have to admit I was having fun falling in the soft snow and sliding down with bumps along the way.

As I climbed up the snow for another round, I slipped on the snow! The sled rushed down the hill, and I went running for it. I saw my mom laugh, and I was a little surprised and cracked up a little myself! I still made it up the hill, and I saw a few people sledding also, but their sled looked more advanced, so I asked if I could borrow one. They were very kind and said, "Sure!" So I reached for their sled and went to the track they were sledding on. The path they were sledding on seemed very challenging and scary, so I let my mom first try it out. I saw my mom bump against the snow and thought: I have to sled on this track. My mom took the sled up the hill again and told me to lay down on my stomach and hold two straps as tight as I could. I did what my mom told me to do, and I thought: Oh no. This hill is wayyyy too high! But eventually, I slid down. The bumps in the snow gave me a headache, but I yelled out, "Fun!" And that was true, it was entertaining, so I decided to slide on this track again and again.

Eventually, my dad got kind of tired with the sledding, so he returned the sled to the kind kid that let us borrow the sled. He told us that the sled was a spare one. So, we can borrow the sled for a little longer. I decided to sled down one last time. I ran up the hill, and surprisingly, did not trip and slip as I did first. I laid down and got ready. My mom released me from her stopping foot, and like lava pouring out a volcano, I poured out. Somewhere in the middle of the slide, my winter hat fell, which was really funny in the recording.

I was getting quite tired, so we decided to head back to the hotel. I followed my mom's tracks again and let my dad drag me with the sled when there was a slight slope.

When we got in the car, fresh water from the snow soaked my hair. I took off my winter mittens and hat, sat back, and relaxed.

And also... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (Yep... thats me in the picture 😅)
