Mystery Test!!!

By far are three mysteries that I have chosen to write about, see if you can crack them all! Write your answers and a reasonable explanation in the comments below! I will reply to you with your score. Good luck!

#1. One morning in a circle house, the owner got murdered. There were three suspects, the chef, the maid, and the painter. The chef said, "I was preparing for today's breakfast! I was about to pour the milk for the cereal." The maid said calmly, "I was sweeping the corners of the house." The painter said, "I was painting a beautiful landscape with my brand-new canvas! I was going to hang it in the living room..." Who is the murderer? 

#2. One night in an apartment, the keys to the main lot were stolen. The apartment manager soon went to three people that were not in their rooms. 425, 903, and the last house, 999. Mary, which owned house 425, said assertively: "I was out partying because it was my friend's daughter's 8-years birthday." Mark, from house 903 said, "I was swimming in the pool in the bright sun practicing my backstrokes." Tim, house 999 calmly said, "I went to the fitness center to run." Who is the thief?

#3. One day, Tom was walking his dog when his wallet and phone were stolen! Tom instantly started yelling: "Thief! Thief!" One person from the farmlands noticed and started chasing the robber. However, the robber was smart. Seeing that he will almost be in jail, the robber dropped the wallet and phone and accused the farmer of stealing the items. A few seconds later, the police came and did ONE surprising thing that instantly unmasked the robber with evidence. Without equipment and special procedures, what ONE thing did the police do?

#1. The maid! Although the maid was the one with the short answer, she is the murderer. Did your dectective tricks work? "Corners" of the house isn't excatcly a fitting excuse for a circle house, is it?

#2. Mark. (I wish I could practice my backstrokes...) The keys were stolen at night, and Mark couldn't have been swimming for 5 hours from 1:00 to 6:00, can he? Also, there is no sun at night, where was he when the moon was hanging? Stealing the keys? Good try.

#3. Just let 'em race! The robber will always be slower than the farmer since the farmer had caught the robber, so the farmer runs faster than the robber!
